Thanks to the support and generosity of the residents of Broughton Astley, we are able to support and provide funding for a number of village-based groups, organisations and local charities.
Every time you, your familty and your friends attend the Summer Carnival, Christmas Fayre, Party in the Park or the Santa Dash and Dawdle, you are helping us raise valuable money to help these local groups.
Here are just a few of the Broughton Astley groups and local charaties we have been able to support.
SUPPORITNG LEICESTERSHIRE CHARATIES

BROUGHTON ASTLEY COMMUNITY GROUPS
We have been able to help Broughton Astley In-Door Bowls Group (BOCCA).
The Lunch Club has also received funding from Broughton Alive, including for their annual Christmas meal.
We were able to provide a start-up donation the the Broughton Astley community therepy group BEST LIFE.
LOCAL ENVIRONMENT
We have been able to support and help with the creation and up-keep of the Broughton Astley Library Garden, replanting and care of the elm trees at Sutton in the Elms, and planting borders of daffodils along the road side entering the village.
COMMUNITY MINI BUS
We have helped fund the Broughton Astley Community Bus which is used by a number of groups in the village. The bus can also be booked by local residents who are in need of tranposrtation.
BROUGHTON ASTLEY BROWNIES AND SCOUTS
We have given donations to Broughton Astley Brownies and Broughton Astley 1st Scouts.
Each year we provide the Christmas tree in the village center and organise the Broughton Astley Christmas Fayre and Christmas Lights Switch On.
ST MARY'S CHURCH
We have helped St Mary's Church Bell Ringers replace their bell ropes.
BROUGHTON AND DUNTON RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB
Broughton and Dunton Rangers Football Club benefited from funding from Broughton Alive to help them with their new 3G all weather training pitch.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND TRAINING COURCES
Funding from Broughton Alive has helped provide first responder first aid equipment for the village and food hygeine certificate training for Broughton Astley residents and businesses.
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
Broughton Alive organised the Jubilee Celebrarions in 2022 and helped fund the Jubilee Bench in the village.
